The Badlands

The Badlands is a National Park just east of Rapid City. It encompasses 244,000 acres of eroded buttes, pinnacles and prairies. People come from all over the world and just drive through the park, but there are some amazing trails to take so get out of the car and explore. In the park you can see buffalo, prairie dogs, and bighorn sheep. It is also home to the black - footed ferrets- the most endangered land mammal in North America.  Bring plenty of water and stay hydrated.
