Medicine Root Loop Trail

Medicine Root Trail is a 2 mile trail that runs between the Castle Trail on either side and starts near the Old Northeast Road. When we did the trail we hiked all of Castle Trail and on the way back took the side loop of Medicine Root. The trail runs mostly in the prairie and you can see the Badlands in the distance. This is my least favorite trail in the park and we honestly only did it to say we have now hiked all the trails within the park. If you like to take it easy, enjoy solitude, and watch the grasses blow in the wind, then this is the trail for you.
