Roughlock Falls and Picnic Area
Roughlock Falls and Picnic Area is located in Spearfish Canyon off Roughlock Falls Road. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, and a handicapped pathway down to the falls. The area is pretty busy anytime of the year and in the Fall people come from all over the world to witness the changing of the leaves in the canyon. The road to the falls is closed in the winter and can only be accessed by walking a mile path just west of Spearfish Canyon Lodge to the falls. In the summer if you have time I recommend you walk this trail. It is really pretty, mostly flat, and very peaceful.
