Fort Pierre

Fort Pierre is a really cool town which is part of the Pierre area but is on the west side of the Missouri River. There is a lot to do there and tons of history. The population is around 2115 people in the 2020 census. We stayed in the area for a weekend and only touched a little of what there is to do. The historic highway sign and the Fort Pierre website highlights all the things you can stop and see along the way while in the area. The area was especially pretty in the fall.
