Cottonwood Springs Campground

Cottonwood Springs Campground is located about 5 miles west of Hot Springs off Highway 18. It is a hidden gem and very peaceful. It has some scenic views, is close to Cottonwood Springs Lake, and has large spaces for RVs, travel trailers, and tents. When we were there, there was no camp host, but the national forest service and deputies went through the campground on several occasions. There is also no electricity or water at this campground, and only a nice clean outhouse.

Entrance into the campground.

Large open spaces for all types of vehicles.

View from our campsite overlooking the bluff.

Nice playground for the kids in the middle of the campground.

Scenic views - can see parts of the lake if you look over the edge.

Pretty flowers in the area.

Nothing better than a campfire at night.

And cacti.

Everything tastes better outside.

Had a social hour and invited over some other campers.

Gorgeous sunsets.

Took a nice walk on the road and was rewarded with this.
