Wind Cave Canyon Trail

Wind Cave Canyon Trail is an easy 3.0 mile hike out and back that follows an old dirt road to Wind Cave’s boundary line. It is a nice trail for anyone since it is pretty short, has some nice views, and is mostly flat. When we went there we saw a few birds, but no other wildlife. It was pretty quiet.

To get to the trail, go north of the Wind Cave Visitor’s Center on Highway 385 about 1 mile. It is right there on the east side of the road by a small dirt pull out.

Beginning of the trail right off the road.

Buffalo cow pies right by the beginning sign. Always fun.

Pretty rock cliffs along the way.

Interesting bone.

More bones found.

Just a nice easy stroll.

End of the trail - pretty obvious with the large fence.
