Willow Creek Trailhead
Willow Creek Trail is a 2.8 mile loop trail that follows a stream, leads to a small waterfall, and takes you through a pine forest with some unique rock formations.
To get to the trail go on Highway 244 and head west of Mount Rushmore. Turn onto the road that leads you to the Willow Creek Horse Camp across from the Mount Rushmore Koa Campground. There is a large parking lot and the trail is easy to spot.

Beginning of the trail to the right starts out easy.
Beginning of the trail to the left starts with an uphill climb.

Black Elk Peak in the distance.
About 1/2 through the trail right before it starts to loop back there is a large crop of rocks on the west side of the trail on top of the hill. This is just south of Trail #9 that leads you to Black Elk. If you follow a slight trail (mostly bushwack) to the top of the rocks you will see a cool cave and a beautiful view of the area.

If you go off the beaten path, you can find some cool caves.

This trail usually takes 1-2 hours to complete and is an easy hike.
