Piedmont, South Dakota

Piedmont is a city in Meade County that is between Rapid City, and Sturgis, South Dakota along Interstate 90. Piedmont was founded in 1890 and officially became a city in 2007. The area around Piedmont has had several fires over the years and a significant storm in 2007 which caused a lot of damage to the city. As of the 2020 census, there are 971 people living in Piedmont.
