Savoy Trail
This is a beautiful 1.2 mile trail from the beginning of the Roughlock Falls Trail near the Spearfish Canyon Lodge to the pond. The trail is rated as moderate, but I found it very easy and pleasant if compared to some of the trails in the Black Hills. The sign can be kind of misleading - it is 2.4 miles round trip from the sign at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge to the pond not 4 miles. The trail follows the river and the road, and the end of the trail leads you to a very pretty pond with a gorgeous backdrop.
Savoy trail to the left - Roughlock Falls trail to the right after this sign.
Cross the bridge by this sign and go to the left to start the Savoy Trail.
The sign is misleading - the trail is only 1.1 miles from this sign to the pond.
Interesting - was near the trail.

Huge rock.
Will have to check this out one day.
