Sacred Circle of Smoke

The circle of sacred smoke sculpture was done by artist Junkyu Muto. It is a sign of world peace that pays homage to the American people. The statue is the 3rd of 7 works planned by Muto around the world. The first two sculptures can be found in Bodhi, India and the Vatican City. The sculpture depicts the first puff of smoke from a pipe as it is lit. The statute is at the bottom of Devil’s Tower near the Belle Fourche Campground.
