Rock Maze

The Rock Maze is off Nemo Road about 14 miles west of Rapid City in Lawrence county. It is a short hike to the beginning of the maze and is just east of the Steamboat Rock Recreation Site. The Maze consists of giant boulders that have separated and cracked over time . The maze isn’t huge but a pretty cool area to check out especially for kids. There are a lot of pathways between rocks and neat rocks to climb on and explore. When you go be sure to check out the whole area to the south, the north, and on top. There seems to be something cool hidden around every corner, and each time we go we discover something new.

Extremely tight fit on the north side of the rocks. Last time we came we didn’t even find this area, so explore everywhere.
