Rochford Trailhead To Mystic Trailhead

Milepost 74.7 to milepost 82.6 or vice versa.

The Rochford Trailhead to Mystic Trailhead is one of the easier parts of the Mickelson Trail. It is also quite pretty with a stream flowing next to it and a pretty cool tunnel to take a break in. The trail also goes between two old mining towns. In Rochford you can have a beer, or lunch, and in Mystic you can walk around and check out some old buildings. The grade is not that bad either, and there are no big hills you have to climb.

Beginning of the trail.

Ready and eager.

We are going to get wet.

Peek a boo - I see you.

Cool tunnel - we made it there and waited for the rain to pass.

Looking back.

Looking forward.

Made it to Mystic.

Need to take a break and check out the town.

Lots of old building remains still in the area.

Heading back.

Going through the tunnel again.

Looking back.

Saw this guy on the trail.

Some gates you have to go through.

Got hit with rain again.

Another cow stare down.

Made it back.

Now time to have a beer and celebrate.

We did it.
