Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary

Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary is a place where visitors can seek solitude in the Black Hills. It is open every day and consists of paths through farmland, grass, and woods. It is a place where people can reflect, heal, contemplate life, or just walk and enjoy the beautiful Black Hills and the special sculptures and quotes from some famous people. There are many benches to sit and there are books and writing utensils to share you thoughts provided along the way. It is open to anyone who wants to come. My favorite part was the wind chimes on Harmony Hill. We came here twice, and the second time the wind was really blowing, and it was awesome to just sit and hear the beautiful chimes. We walked the whole trail and it was a little under 2 miles and took a couple of hours.

(Not open in the winter.)

To get to Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary from Rapid City take W Highway 44 then go north on Highway 385. Go west on Custer Crossing Road (narrow dirt road) and then north on N Rochford Road. Turn Northeast on Juso Ranch Road. Another way is to take Rochford Road, but it is a longer route. Coming from Deadwood area, you would just go south on N Rochford Road from Highway 85/14A.
