Outdoor Campus West
Outdoor Campus West is located in Rapid City on the west side of town off of Sturgis Rd and Adventure Trail. The campus is open to the public and has over 1.5 miles of nature trails, an information center, and an archery range. The information center and offices are open at certain times, but the trails and archery range are open all year long. The trails go through the woods and a small marsh, and there is a tower to climb, a small stream, and several ponds on the property. The trails also connect to Wilderness Park which is another nice area to explore. This is a cool place to visit all year with your family and pets, and easy to get to.

New thing for the SD State Parks - Find Sasquatch on the trails and win a prize - all throughout the state - have to send selfies in. This was also gone when I went back in December 2024.
Different stations at the archery range,
Various lengths and objects to shoot at.
Another trail on the west side of the information center.
Small garden on site. Would be pretty in the summer.
