Nemo Outhouse Races/Chili Cook-off
The Nemo Outhouse Races and Chili Cook-off are every year in Nemo, South Dakota and the money raised goes to the Naja Shrine Kids Transportation Fund. The races are a local favorite and quite entertaining. The chili cook-off is pretty good as well and for a small fee you can sample different chili recipes and vote for your favorite. There are kid events as well - a scoop shovel race and a big ball you can roll around in. The event is usually held in February, and the local stores are open as well and sell food, and beer. The town of Nemo is pretty with a church, a school, a post office, a volunteer fire department and some cabins. This town is a favorite with those who like to ATV, and the town is close to the Centennial Trail.
