Near Nemo, South Dakota
To boondock in the area of Nemo, South Dakota you head west out of Rapid City on Nemo Rd. At the town of Nemo, you turn onto Box Elder Forks Road. From there you go a short distance and turn on 67B. After around a mile there is a small pond on the left hand side of the road. We turned left there and made our home in the field for the night. Where we spent the night, there were around 10 other campers spread out in the area. The thing I liked the most was we were close to the town of Nemo and could pick up supplies if needed. Also it is a really pretty area, especially in the fall. We drove Vanocker Canyon Road, went to Belle Joli Winery, went sightseeing on Nemo Road and Boxelder Forks Road, and took lots of pictures. At night the stars were amazing along with the sunset.
