Mystic

The town of Mystic was founded in 1876 and has tons of history. It is an unincorporated community in Pennington County just south of the town of Rochford. Today there are a few small buildings, a couple of gravesites, some old foundation footings, and a church. The Mickelson Trail goes right through the town of Mystic and it is a very interesting place to see if you like history. Mystic was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

To get to Mystic from Hill City or Rapid City take Deerfield Rd and turn north on Mystic Rd/Rochford Rd. Another way would be to take Highway 385 north and then go west on Rochford Rd and south on Mystic Rd/Rochford Rd.
