Monument For Charles Nolin

The monument for Charles Nolin is located in Sturgis, South Dakota at the corner of Junction Ave and Harmon Street. Charles was a Pony Mail Carrier and killed by Native Americans in 1876. This is where he died and was buried by people who found him, and later moved to the Bear Butte Cemetery in 1889. He was given a new bronze marker in 1982.
