Minnekahta Trailhead to Pringle Trailhead

Milepost MM 16.2 to the Pringle Trailhead at MM 32 or vice versa.

The trailhead is just short of 16 miles long (15.9) one way and goes mostly uphill the whole way. There is only 2 sections of this trail that go downhill - by MM 26 and by MM 31. This trail is one of my least favorite. It has a lot of open spaces, a very hot sun at times, and not much of scenery compared to the rest of the trail. The cool thing was in Pringle we were able to go to a bar and get a beer or even food if needed before the long bike ride back to the car. Also very little people ride this section of the trail, and we only saw 3 other people the whole time we were bike riding.

The start of the trial at Minnekahta.

Make sure you pay and have a pass on the trail - we have been stopped before.

Interesting information.

Need to cross this highway to start the trail. Be very careful - when we were crossing a car was passing a semi and I don’t think he even saw us on the road.

So full of life at the beginning of the trail. P. S. - It looks very hot.

Not very inviting.

More of the same.

Cows everywhere in the beginning.

A little bit more scenic.

Lien Quarry - nice place to take a rest.

Found a W - this was explained in the information at the Lien Quarry.

One of the few bridges on this section of the trail.

Not much flowers seen.

Cool old buildings along the way.

So close to the end.

Entering Pringle - how cool is this?

More interesting information.

Ordering some beers.

I so earned this.

Time to head back.

Beginning of the 2nd climb back - my legs are very tired.

Up and up we go - not as fun going back in this section.
