Little Devil’s Tower Trail to Sylvan Lake - Trail #4

This is a short trailhead from Sylvan Lake picnic area to the beginning of Little Devil’s Trailhead or vice versa. The map on site shows it is Trail #4. This trail can be accessed from Sylvan Lake picnic area (daytime parking just northeast of Sylvan Lake) or Little Devil’s Trailhead (1 mile east of Sylvan Lake ) and is for 2 types of people - those who are either interested in walking to Little Devil’s Tower or Black Elk Fire Tower from Sylvan Lake, or those who want to get out and stretch their legs and do a short hike (maybe a nice after dinner hike while staying in the Sylvan Lake area). The hike is pretty easy, has some cool rock formations, goes near an interesting cave, and has some pretty views. This hike would also be a good way to get the kids out and about. The hike is a little over one mile there and back, unless you hike further and keep going towards Little Devil’s Tower from Sylvan Lake.

When I hiked the trail I started at Little Devil’s Tower parking lot, hiked to Sylvan Lake, and then turned around. It was just over 1 mile.

This short trail towards Sylvan Lake starts near the above location, but is just north of the bathroom stalls and runs to the west. This trailhead sign here keeps going towards Little Devil’s Tower.

This is near the other starting point - The trail starts just to the northeast of the lake. There is a sign telling you where you are and what trail it is - #4.
