Little Dane Church and Cemetery

Little Dane Cemetery was constructed in 1897 and 2 years later the church was built. There are around 190 people buried at the cemetery and the only people that can be buried there are descendants of the original plot holders and parishioners of the church. The last service at the church was in 1929 until in 1969 on the 80th anniversary of the church, a newly restored church was dedicated. The church and cemetery are located in Lawrence County off Dane Church Road just north of Highway 34. It is a beautiful church and location, and Bear Butte can be seen in the background.
