Kool Deadwood Nites
The parking lots were full of old cars all accessible to the public.
Kool Deadwood Nites brings car lovers together for four days of classic cars, free concerts, a parade, and more. The event happens every year towards the end of August. Each year different bands come to Deadwood. In the past there have been the groups The Grass Roots, The Letterman, and The Box Tops. I have been to Deadwood a lot and this was the busiest I have ever seen it and that includes the Sturgis Rally. Everyone was having a blast. The event showcases older vehicles, older music, and definitely an older crowd. It was really fun.
The president and friend even made an appearance.
The Blues Brothers made an appearance also.
The trio the Letterman performed on Main Street for free.
Big screen tv midway so those in back could see.
Most of Deadwood's main street was closed for blocks and filled with folks coming out to see the free concerts - oldies and goodies.
