Joyner Ridge Trail

Joyner Ridge Trail can be accessed from 3 different starting points - W Rd which is a short road off of Devil’s Tower National Monument Rd, or 2 different access points off the Red Beds Trail which also starts at Devil’s Tower National Monument Rd. Starting at the W Rd starting point makes the trail a nice loop around 1.5 miles. Starting at the Red Beds Trail makes the trail longer around 3.2 or longer depending where you park. I usually park somewhere near the bottom of the tower and walk up the Red Beds Trail to get where I want. Either way the trail is beautiful and has some unique photo opportunities.

Recommend going to the left and taking the low trail first and ending up on the high trail. Easier hike and the best is saved for last.

Rattlesnake 2 feet from the trail. You can see it plain as day, but not in the picture. Pretty scary. First encounter with a snake.
