Jenny Gulch

Jenny Gulch is a local favorite spot to cliff jump into Pactola Lake.  The area is visited by many boats and the cliffs are a cool place to sun yourself, swim, and jump from different heights in the cold clear water.

To get to Jenny Gulch take Silver City Rd off of Highway 385 just north of the Pennington county line. The road winds back and forth for about 4 miles but eventually leads to the Jenny Gulch Picnic area. From the parking lot there is a trail to the right that leads to Pactola Lake up a hill. Follow that until you hit the lake and then choose which rock you want to claim as your own.

Pactola Lake is also pretty clear. I usually do a little of snorkeling when I'm here as well.

Usually lots of boats here during the summer.

The lake is usually a lot calmer on the back side.

Very high cliff that people jump off. Very scary.

People on the boats usually cheer on the cliff jumpers, especially when they jump from the very high cliffs.
