Gold Discovery Days In Custer

Every July the town of Custer celebrates Gold Discovery Days. It’s a celebration of Lieutenant Colonel George Custer who led the troops in the Black Hills and discovered gold in 1874. It is an annual 3 day celebration where they have a parade, carnival, food trucks, a car show, and an arts and craft show just to name a few. We went there this year (2023) for the first time and it was really nice. The town of Custer really went all out for this celebration.
