Game Lodge Campground

Game Lodge Campground is located in Custer State Park along Highway 16A near the Visitor’s Center. It has 59 campsites and 11 cabins. The campground has flush toilets, shower houses, vault toilets, a dump station, drinking water, a playground, and a beach for swimming. The campground is located in a really good spot with the visitor’s center around the corner, a store down the road, and several hiking spots near by. This was a favorite camping spot for our children when they were growing up and they loved riding their bikes through the campground. The campground also does presentations throughout the summer for visiting tourists.

Big open spaces for rvs, tents, and campers.

Watch your kids play and the buffalo in the background.

They have ranger talks and presentations here.

Lots of mountain goats when we arrived.

All over the campground.

Nice bathrooms and showers - not open in the winter months though.

Guarded gate and fence surrounding the campground.

Cabins in different spots in the campground.

Nice playground, picnic area, and beach.

Sitting and watching the mountain goats from your cabin.

Recommend walking over to the State Game Lodge and having a beer on the outside patio and watch the world go by.
