Founders Park

Founders Park is around 60 acres of open space that was acquired after the 1972 Flood. The park runs along Rapid Creek and is known for the statute “The Fish”. It is also a popular place to ride a bike, have a picnic, or play volleyball. People use Founders Parks to park their car and hike or bike up into Hanson Larsen Memorial Park. During the summer there is a local Farmers Market in the parking lot and the occasional food truck at lunchtime.

Founders Park is in downtown Rapid City off of Omaha St just west of I-190 and the Executive Golf Course.
