Biking The Creekside Trail

The Creekside Trail is a hard-surfaced trail that goes between the Grace Coolidge Campground and the Visitor’s Center. The trail is very simple, is about 2.5 miles one way, and passes the State Game Lodge, the Peter Norbeck Visitor’s Center, and the Coolidge General Store.

We rode this trail on the first day of Spring and it was amazing. Not too hard of a trail, we got to see lots of mountain goats, and it was so peaceful. It was definitely a good way to start the new season. Could easily bike the whole trail there and back in under an hour.

Just leaving the visitor’s center.

Nice wooden path to start.

Nice signs along the way.

Passing into Game Lodge Campground. You can follow the road or the bike path.

Just gorgeous.

A couple of gates to go through to keep the animals out.

Passing the famous State Game Lodge.

Passing Peter Norbeck Outdoor Education Center.

Mountain goats - how cool is that ?

Passing a beautiful church and cabins.

Coolidge General Store if you need a snack - closed in winter.

Pass over a couple of bridges.

Up, up, and away over this hill.

Grace Coolidge Campground - we did continue across the road to the Grace Coolidge Trail and saw more mountain goats.

You can continue onto the Grace Coolidge Trail to mountain bike across streams, but it was too muddy when we were there.

Nice place to relax or have a snack.
