Centennial Trail to Dakota Point
This is a one mile hike from Dakota Point Road to Dakota Point on the Centennial Trail. The trail is pretty easy, wide, and well marked. The trail veers to the right after about a mile where there is a bridge you need to cross to get to Dakota Point and Sheridan Lake dam. If you miss the bridge turn off, you can easily see it from the trail - just turn around. Once you cross the bridge, the trail leads you to Dakota Point (near Sheridan Lake dam) - a popular hang out for the locals. Before heading back check out the area behind the bridge. It leads you to a a pool of waterfalls that go down the hill. Use extreme caution in this whole area for cliffs, slippery hills, and rushing water. Once done - hike back, take a drive down to the end of the road, and have a picnic at Dakota Point Picnic Area.
