Accommodations/Camping in Spearfish Canyon
Spearfish Canyon Lodge is a gorgeous lodge in Savoy, South Dakota right in the middle of Spearfish Canyon. It is nestled in a canyon and near Spearfish Falls and Roughlock Falls. There are some amazing things to do right out your front door, and the lodge itself is very beautiful with cute rooms and suites and 2 outside hot tubs on the deck. The Latchstring Restaurant is right across the street and the lodge has a store, a bar, and a beautiful lobby. There are also different adventure packages for all types of people so make sure you check those out as well.

Rod and Gun Campground is the closest campground to Savoy and is located about 2.5 miles south of Highway 14A on Roughlock Falls Road. It has 7 campsites, picnic tables, a restroom, and fire rings. The sites are fairly open and the campground is pretty remote. One of the "Dances with Wolves" film sites is nearby, and the campground is located adjacent to Little Spearfish Creek. The cost to camp is $18.00 a night as of 2019.

Timon Campground is about 1 mile south of the Rod and Gun Campground on Roughlock Falls Road and about 3.5 miles from Highway 14A. This campground has 7 campsites, a restroom, picnic table, fire rings, and a lot of tree coverage. Timon Campground is next to a couple of hiking trails as well that are pretty to hike anytime of year. The cost to camp is $18.00 a night as of 2019. This campground is also adjacent to Little Spearfish Creek.
