Boondocking At N Pole Rd In Custer
Another nice place to boondock is off N Pole Rd in Custer. It is off Mount Rushmore Rd just west of the town of Custer. N Pole Rd is a skinny dirt road and it can be scary if you meet another larger vehicle on the road, but there are places to pull off if needed. When we camped, there were about 10 other recreational vehicles in the area. The location was beautiful, filled with tons of wildflowers, and the views were amazing just down from out spot. It was very quiet and peaceful.
